Members of the Board are elected officials governed by the ByLaws (Rev 1.2/05AUG14 under Article-5/Sections-7 & 8) of the Elmwood Park Youth Football Association.  The length of term for an elected official is two years, with no consecutive term limitations.

The board is comprised of three governing bodies, which are:

Executive Board

  1. President
  2. Vice-President of Football
  3. Vice-President of Cheer
  4. Treasurer
  5. Secretary

Board of Directors

  1. Executive Board
  2. Equipment Director
  3. Coach Coordinator (Football)
  4. Cheer Coordinator
  5. Concession Coordinator
  6. Volunteer Coordinator
  7. Fund Raising/Special Events Coordinator
  8. Community Outreach Director

Auxiliary Board

Auxiliary Board is a non-voting member which shall consist of the current active season Football & Cheer Head Coaches and will be chaired by the Coach & Cheer Coordinators.  All Auxiliary Board recommendations must be approved by the Executive Board EVERY season.


The Term Elections of the Elected Officials run as follows:

Odd Years (i.e. 2015, 2017, 2019, Etc…)

  1. President

  3. Vice-President of Cheer
  4. Equipment Director
  5. Volunteer Coordinator
  6. Coach Coordinator (Football)

Even Years (i.e. 2016, 2018, 2020, Etc.)

  1. Vice President of Football
  2. Secretary
  3. Cheer Coordinator
  4. Concession Coordinator
  5. Fund Raising/Special Events Coordinator
  6. Director of Community Outreach

Eligibility for Candidacy and/or Re-election for Executive & Board of Director positions

1. Eligible Board of Directors comprised of:

  • Coach Coordinator
  • Equipment Director
  • Concession Coordinator
  • Volunteer Coordinator
  • Fund Raising/Special Events Coordinator
  • Cheer Coordinator
  • Community Outreach Director

The individual seeking a Board of Director position must be an active member that has maintained good standing “without incident” with the Elmwood Park Rush Youth Football Association, the Chicagoland League, other leagues within the Chicagoland Conference, and/or any other youth organizations for the previous four (4) calendar years; AND has personally completed at least the minimum of the required volunteer hours within the current season.

2. Eligible Executive Board comprised of:

  • President
  • Vice President of Football
  • Vice President of Cheer
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary

The individual seeking an Executive Board position must be an active member that has maintained good standing “without incident” with the Elmwood Park Rush Youth Football Association, the Chicagoland League, other leagues within the Chicagoland Conference, and/or any other youth organizations for the previous six (6) calendar years; AND completed & currently holds a full-term in a position as the Coach Coordinator, Equipment Director, Concession Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, Fund Raising/Special Events Coordinator, Cheer Coordinator or Community Outreach Director.

Election Information:

For an individual to be included on the offical election ballot, eligible candidates as described above must:

  1. Submit a Letter of Interest to the Executive Board.
  2. The Executive Board must receive the Letter of Interest by October 31st
  3. The Letter of Interest must include Name, Address and Position of Interest
  4. Must be present for the Election, which will take place during the scheduled November Board Meeting.

The voting party for the elected positions, which MUST be present during the actual election, consist of the standing Executive Board, Board of Directors and active certified coaches on the official league rosters from the current season (active to mean attending more than 75% of practices and 90% of the games), are eligible to vote on open Board positions.

After January 1st, the President, or Vice-President if the Presidency position is vacant, can appoint any individual to an open Executive and/or Board of Director position.
