ELMWOOD PARK RUSH YOUTH FOOTBALL

proud participant of the United Youth Football League

ATTENTION RUSH FAMILY

We're proud to announce that the Elmwood Park Youth Commission Cheerleader's will be joining the Elmwood Park Rush Youth Football Organization Family as a member of The Greater Chicagoland Youth Football and Cheer!

The Greater Chicagoland Youth Football and Cheer consists of 29 local Football & Cheer Programs under the direction of the United Youth Football and Cheer National League, which is committed to highlight its Cheer, Dance and Step. To insure the Cheer programs do not get lost in the prominence of the game of football, the United Youth Football and Cheer League has structured its Cheer League with its own National Board of Cheer Directors (which includes Dance and Step) and a National Cheer Dance and Step Advisory Council. These two boards will insure that our Cheer programs are kept cutting edge in all aspects of the program, prominently promoted, and their accomplishments are celebrated correctly.

Cheerleading was officially recognized in the 1970's, but has been a part of Youth Football programs for several decades. The United Youth Football and Cheer League established its rules and operational procedures to ensure that every child who wishes to participate, regardless of financial means, race, creed or national origin is included in a safe and fair environment where their best interest and education are put first. The United Youth Cheerleading Program is divided into two levels for the safety of our cheerleaders. With Cheer, Dance, Step and Conference All-Star Cheer Program, the United Youth football and Cheer League provides the most opportunities for the girls to experience teamwork in a fun and safe environment.

United Youth Cheer programs emphasize fun for all and encourage the development of girls into responsible, disciplined and confident young women by placing an emphasis on putting Faith, Family, Education and Team in the correct order. United Youth Cheer is on a mission to Create a Culture of Champions to connect the goals of sports to the principles of value based leadership, and to provide the skills necessary for participants to use those principles to become a positive influence in their communities and in the lives of others. The participants in the United Youth Cheer League are unique as opposed to those of other national organizations. While they are taught about the values of competition, they are also maintaining their grades at a satisfactory level, United Youth Cheer honors its responsibility when accepting students who may be struggling academically to assist families by providing tutoring programs and study sessions to insure the students succeed at their education first and on the cheer mats second. We salute all the efforts and accomplishments, and annually reward not only the Scholar Athletes but also those who have taken poor grades and risen up to the challenge to be a Champion in all aspects of their lives.

The Elmwood Park Rush Board has elected Patty Stranski as the Elmwood Park Rush Cheer Coordinator.

Thanks,
Your Rush Board
